  1. What is BooksOff?
  2. =================
  3. "Find" button in the palette is very useful, especially "Find All" command is. It will look all data in the Newton. But if there is a digital book, the speed of command execution will be very slow. With BooksOff, "Find All" skips all digital books, so the execution time becomes very short. Of course there is a time that the data in the digital book is requierd. BooksOff can be easily turned on or off.

  5. How to use it

  7. After you install BooksOff into your Newton device, you won't see BooksOff's icon in the ExtrasDrawer. Now BooksOff is auto part, which is a thing like INIT in Macintosh, so there is no need to use space in ExtrasDrawer. You can see BooksOff in Find Dialog and Preferences Roll. In Find Dialog, new checkbox "Don't Search in Books" are added. This works as it is. In Preferences Roll, there is an item "BooksOff™" and this shows you copyright information of BooksOff. Indeed there's no setting item here.
